Laura Patterson is a Columbus based choreographer, teaching artist, performer, and art administrator. Laura graduated Summa Cum Laude with Distinction from The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance and a minor in Integrative Approaches to Health and Wellness.

Laura (Lp) creates choreography under the company name Lp & dancers. Lp & dancers has presented work locally at the Wexner Center of the Arts, Columbus Performing Arts Center, Ohio History Center, Columbus Dance Theatre, and McConnell Arts Center as well as nationally in Cleveland, OH, Bellingham, WA, and Chicago, IL.

Laura has taught for Columbus State Community College, BalletMet, Dublin Dance Center & Gymnastics, Momentum- Excellence, Art Possible Ohio, Columbus Museum of Art, and Perennial Movement Group. Alongside her teaching, she has performed with Columbus companies STILGO Dance + Tech, Whirlwind Dance Company, Perennial Movement Group, All Our Friends Collective, and Salt Lake City, UT, based company, SALT II.

On the administrative side, Laura acts as Advanced Team Coordinator for Momentum-Excellence, Community Engagement Coordinator for Dublin Dance Foundation, and Youth Company Co-Director at Dublin Dance Center & Gymnastics. Laura is a Co-Founder and administrator for Columbus Community Dance Class and an active member of the Columbus Dance Alliance Leadership Team.
